About this app

Download the 2022 Ohio Elections app for information on state and federal elections in Ohio.

The source of information on this app is material collected by the journalists of Gongwer News Service. Candidate biographical and contact information is submitted by the candidates and state legislative leaders through a form they receive from Gongwer and then reviewed by Gongwer prior to posting. For candidates who do not respond, Gongwer will look for biographical information from publicly available sources like candidate websites.

District maps are drawn from the Ohio secretary of state and entered into our database. Links to candidate social media websites are researched by Gongwer staff and entered into our database. Endorsement information is supplied by the organizations making the endorsement. Election results come from Gongwer’s database, which is based on information from the Ohio Secretary of State’s official election results. Analysis for each race is written by Gongwer staff based on their knowledge of the race, the candidates and interviews with those knowledgeable about the race.

The app will update regularly throughout the year.
