If you ever forget your munsell in the field this will suffice. It doesn't have a lot of the recent additions to the new munsell color chart but has all the 5Y, 5R, 5YR, and 10Y, 10R and 10YR values so it can be pretty useful.

I have a munsell soil colour chart, placed the colours in this app against the actual colours in the official colour chat. And sorry, but it's not a match, I wouldn't be comfortable in any way using this as a marker for colour. I would be very uncomfortable if I was using this in an archaeological or geological setting where I could be potential defending my choices in court.

I feel that the descriptors are poor and there are many colours missing such as more orange shades. Great idea but much room for improvement!

This is no substitute for an actual Munsell book. Many swatches are missing. Those that are included are far from accurate.

When compared with a real Munsell chart these colours do not match. Do not use for archaeological purposes.
