the user interface is pretty confusing, especially given there are no account settings option in the app. it seems very inconvenient to have to go to a mobile browser, with prompts popping up for every page to go switch to the app, even though it's only possible to do so in Chrome. I do enjoy the platform, as well as the system in which annotations and suggestions are implemented, but not having profile settings available in the app is frustrating and frankly a strange decision.

App used to work wellm my favorite feature was to have the lyrics pop up for the songs I am listening to on Spotify. It recently stopped doing that all together. I've tried repeatedly to troubleshoot but haven't found a solution. Otherwise it's a 5 star app. Edit: it worked for a hot minute but then reverted went back to no longer loading lyrics for songs I'm listening to.

The ads that play music and takeover the screen with timeouts before you can close then while you're trying to listen to music is so ridiculous. It would be easier to accept if there was a paid option available to remove ads but there isn't. I'll come back if you ever offer an option to remove the ads. Terrible service.

I used to love using this app, but it has just been wrecked it by incorporating this ridiculous onslaught of advertising. Banner ads and even midsized box ads are more or less understandable as you clearly as company need revenue, but popover and timed ads are near universally despised and completely detract from the experience. What were you thinking??! I am now currently looking for an alternative.

There are better apps for lyrics. Let's you view lyric explanations which is cool but also the bare minimum you'd expect. Often claims to be disconnected from Internet when other apps works fine. The recently played feature is broken and has been for ages but they seem to have no intention to fix it. Weird permission requests that they shouldn't need.

Not bad for reading Genius, though it's sometimes difficult to edit. The linkup with Spotify so you can view whatever song you're listening to is superb.
