This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Awwsome Wallpaper on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Such and awwsome idea it's amazing no one thought of it before - but someone has to first right? Now you can thank Geeksville Industries for bringing you all the funtastic images from reddit straight to your desktop. Don't like the current desktop? Just tap on it and it changes to a new one! Awwsomesauce!

About this app

This is a live wallpaper full of auto generated Reddit goodness.

I made this application because I liked the cute images in /r/Aww and wanted to have a constantly changing stream of cuteness as my background wallpaper. Just install this application, run it and click on the Activate button and you should be good to go. You can view other subreddits as well, such as /r/CatsStandingUp, /r/Dogs, etc...

This application will always be free (and no ads or sleazy location tracking!). But optional features may someday require a single in-app purchase. These donations fund would fund development of the application - I hope you understand. That said, currently this application is in beta testing and is completely free.

If you have ideas or requests join us on http://www.reddit.com/r/Awwsome. I'll try to implement anyone's requests, even if you aren't able to donate to fund development.
