Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MoLLVIS - Alpha on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

User manual MoLLVIS for Android
MoLLVIS (Mobile Language Learning for Visually Impaired Students) works together with the Android Accessibility function TalkBack.

Main Menu
MoLLVIS starts in the Main Menu; in the Main Menu you have an overview over the lessons. On start you get a vocal explanation. From any sub screen you can navigate back to the Main Menu by pressing the android back key.

Explore the screen by touch
Explore the lessons by moving your finger across the screen. When your finger enters an element your smartphone/tablet vibrates and read out the name of the current element.

Double Tab to open
After you selected an element you can open the action behind it with a double tab on the screen.

Back and Forth navigation
In order to open the next page swipe with two fingers from right to left across the screen. You go forth to the next Screen, like turning a page. Swipe from left to right navigates one page backwards.

Volume Keys
Use the Volume Keys of your android device to change the output volume.

Closing MoLLVIS
Press the Back Button brings you back in the Main Menu, when you are currently in a sub menu. In the Main Menu press the Back Button again to open the Exit Program Menu, or open the exit menu item by touch. In the Exit Menu select the element on the top edge of the screen and double tab to leave MoLLVIS.
