This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Informative Podcasts on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

About this app

Die App "Informative Podcasts" ist ein Podcast Client mit einer integrierten Sammlung informativer und serioser Podcast Kanäle. Sie können Beiträge unabhängig von Sendezeitpunkt nachhören oder auf Ihr Android Device herunterladen.

Dabei werden die Datenquellen als sogenannter RSS-Feed von den meist öffentlich-rechtlichen Herausgebern zur Verfügung gestellt, damit sie in Podcast Clients - wie dieser App - angezeigt werden können.

Natürlich ohne Werbung, keine In-App Käufe, keine Datenschnüffelei, alles komplett kostenlos. Kleine Installtionsdatei - und verbraucht wenig Speicher auf Deinem Gerät. Gemacht für Tablets und geeignet für Telefone.

Ersteller der App ist keiner der genannten öffentlich-rechtlichen Herausgeber der Datenquellen, sondern Ingo Schendel, langjähriger Radiohörer und professioneller Entwickler. Der Entwickler der App nutzt die Anwendung auch selbst täglich.

Aus Compliance Gründen wird der Name der vorinstallierten Datenquellen im Store Eintrag nicht mehr erwähnt und die Datenquellen werden auch auf den Screenshots unkenntlich gemacht. Der dargestellte Demo-Content auf den Screenshots ist rein fiktiv und soll lediglich einen Eindruck vom Layout der Anwendung ermitteln - in der installierten Version der App finden Sie natürlich ECHTEN Content!

Update [2021-10-21]:
Beachten Sie: Die App braucht eine Internetverbindung. Ebenso muss ein Standard-Player für das Abspielen von MP3 eingerichtet sein. "Informative Podcasts" verwendet keinen eigenen Player, sondern Sie haben die freie Wahl. Ich selbst verwende den freien VLC Medienplayer.

Auf meinem alten Samsung Galaxy Tab A unter Android 4.4 zickt die App seit kurzem ein wenig. Auf Emulatoren unter Android 5.1 (Lollipop) einerseits und mit meinen neuen Referenzgerät unter Android 10 (Lenovo Tab M8, TB8505X - die Schmalspur Version mal wieder) läuft alles rund.

Da es für ältere Android Versionen keine Sicherheits-Updates mehr gibt, empfehle ich allgemein, bei Problemen auf ein Gerät mit aktuellem Android zu wechseln oder - falls möglich - auf ihrem Gerät das aktuelle Android Betriebssystem zu installieren.

All the information sources are German Public Radio and only send broadcasts in german. All podcasts are only available in german, too. So if you do not understand german it might not make sense to install this app.
