A "tap to select" feature for known stars would be great but this app lacks alot of detail that would otherwise be a great exploration tool. Too many ads.

I love this app!! I am working on a sci fi story and I need a good idea of the space around another star and this is great for visualizing! The only thing I wish I could do is to get a orthographic (not perspective) view of the area (I will need to do political maps at some point). Like double tap on the grid to flatten it down or something. Still awesome! Thank you! If you put that in on the paid version I will totally buy it.

The Best Map of the Galaxy App, EVER! It is 3D & SO cool. Packed full of information, I think I could explore it for hours without tiring. It is so handy to have this in my phone instead of carrying my laminated star charts. Most of the big stars and systems are present and accounted for, making it easy to go from point A to point B, no matter where your point B may be...

Useful when run in an emulator, but the search function needs a lot of work: it can't find stars by alternate designations, only by whichever arbitrary name the programmer picked. I'm trying to find 58 Eridani on it to estimate the location of Alpha Pavonis relative to it. I had to search by "Peacock" to find Alpha Pav, and I have no idea what I need to do yet to get it to find 58 Eri.

The first issue is that tabbed interface. It is confusing. There should be only one 3D model that I can zoon in and out of, like Celestia does. I also tried omyour other galaxy map app. And if is even harder to navigate the sky on that one.

Learning how star systems work and function has always been a joy to me. The map is easy to use and very understandable. Thank you to the astronomers that laid the foundation!

Ever wondered how far from Earth are the stars you see in the night sky? Or how far or close they are to each other? Now you can visualize those distances in 3D with a star map divided into 10 parsec sectors (cubes) or 32.62 light years, for an easier observation. Sector (0 ,0 ,0) is our home sector and Sol is the Solar System.

Take a thrilling ride through space and visit strange new alien star systems and black holes. Find out where our Sun - the Solar System - is located in the Milky Way galaxy!

Explore space and get a little closer to our wonderful universe with this awesome astronomy app!
