Awful app and Wi-Fi system for ACs. It has not been working for more than a year (since October 2019) and Friedrich customer service has not been able to give an answer on when they will restore the funcionality as well as providing new devices. Quite a shame considering the old app and Wi-Fi devices worked well from 2015 to 2017!

Extremely bad app. I cannot get it to connect. Very poor support, both online and by phone. I greatly hope the physical unit is better. I expected more from a supposedly premium product with a premium price.

2 different apps? This was a pain to set up, it forgets my login info every single time, and doesn't integrate with any voice assistants. The customer service rep I spoke with was amazing, and she helped me get to at least connect to the internet (after shipping me 2 replacement modules, and luckily receiving 1 that actually works). I expect more from a company of this stature.

Was a pain to setup, was fine up until the other day, the connection between the AC and the app stopped working for no reason. From the lack of comments from the company I am guessing they don't want to put too much effort into the IoT portion of their products. The AC does what it's supposed to do cool off the room but besides that if you want it part of your smart home that is out of the equation. Doesn't work with ALEXA. Seems they just made an app with the minimal requirements.

The app needs some work. "Stay signed in" doesn't keep you signed in after closing / opening the app a few times. It seems like the sign-in times out after a day or so? Setting the AC schedule with the little on-screen sliders is an interesting design, but a real pain trying to drag the buttons; they slide way to far up or down. I eventually got it set. I do like the remote control features of the app. I have an in-wall unit (WCT16A30A) mounted high up on the wall, so it's difficult to use the handheld remote. The panel and IR receiver points towards the ceiling on that model. As for the WiFi feature in general, it took a while to setup; mainly because the characters for the MAC address on the control panel are not very legible. I had to turn off MAC filtering, allow it to connect, then grab the address from the router and copy / paste in to the MAC filter whitelist table. Turns out that an "8" looks and awful lot like a "B" on a basic LCD display! Granted, it is new technology to have WiFi integrated into an AC unit, so hopefully the newer versions will have some improvements.

Shockingly bad app. Doesn't work, no support, do not go near these ac units.
