About this app

Personal Financing and Budgeting can be very difficult for some people, especially since it is something that is rarely taught in elementary school and high school. It is even more difficult these days as technology has transitioned the world of money from physical bills to debit and credit cards, making it even more difficult to account for our finances.

The first step when planning out your financing and budgeting is to commit to tracking your expenses and individual monthly commitments and categorize them into categories that make sense for you. Example food, entertainment, mortgage payment, car payment, etc, etc. Once this exercise has been done, then you are able to better manage your cash flow. Knowing that you only have a limited weekly, biweekly or monthly income you will be more knowledgeable about where you can cut back on expenses.

Additionally, if you have certain goals such as paying off your mortgage or buying a car you can work on re-allocating money from your “entertainment pot” to your “savings pot” or “mortgage pot”.
