We know the best thing about free dating apps is, well, they are free. Likewise, free dating apps tend to attract dishonest people who use fake profiles to take advantage of honest members. And we know this problem is not just limited to free sites!

We have found a way to deter and remove dishonest users. First, notice that we are talking about an app and not a website. Unlike a website, apps can track the user’s device. We can identify a fraudulent user and prohibit that user from using our app on their device.

In the past, we have tried to block bad users from our websites. However, with virtual private network technology and free email accounts, like Gmail, it’s impossible to block a scammer from a website forever. Often times, they have multiple accounts and know how to manipulate the system.

As a response, we have developed an app designed to give real and honest users the advantage over scammers.

First, we evaluate each member with a “Real Score”. This score is simply a way to estimate how likely it that a member is using real photos. The app uses a selfie verify system every time members chat with each other. So, if you start a conversation, or if you want to view a conversation for the first time, you need to show that you are real. Administrators also take a look at these photos and match it with the users profile information and photos.

Second, we use GPS to track the app user’s country. There are three things most relevant to your identity: age, gender and location. Between selfie verify and GPS tracking the app makes it very difficult to lie about them.

There are a few more stats we use to evaluate and rate profiles. But, you get the idea.

So you know, there are still web users on our app. We are giving our members time to migrate to the new system. However, web users will never have a real score higher than 50%. Web users, cannot view real scores. Web users can’t take advantage of our advanced search and chat features like real time chat, image sharing, and advanced search. If you want to limit your searches to only app users you just set your real score above 50%. It’s easy.
