About this app

Protectors started out as community-based app bringing people in a neighborhood together to spread awareness about crimes that happened nearby and to give out summons (saman) alerts when the traffic police officer (e.g. DBKL / JPJ / MPSJ / MPKJ / MBPJ ) stops by.

Protectors has evolved since. As your local community's Protector, you can now share alerts with your neighbors in the following categories:

SUMMONS
Spot any traffic police officer (e.g. DBKL / JPJ / MPSJ / MPKJ / MBPJ ) giving out summons (or samans) in your area? Know of any speed traps or roadblocks nearby? Be a hero and alert other Protectors!

CRIME
Know of any crimes or suspicious activities that happened nearby in your neighborhood? Help save a life today and prevent further cases from happening by sharing details (modus operandi) of the crime on Protectors.

COMMUNITY
You can also share any news, complaints or activities related to your community for free, such as upcoming events, utility problems or tips and tricks that you think would be useful for your neighbors.

BUY
Looking for something to buy? Put up your buying request for free on Protectors and let nearby sellers reach out to you in a whoosh!

SELL
Got any new or used/ secondhand items to give away or sell? List it on Protectors for free and your buyers will come your way.

How to post an alert?
1. Enable GPS / location service on your device.
2. Launch Protectors app.
3. Go to “Share” tab and select a category
4. Write your description and insert a picture (if any)
5. Tap on “Post”. Your alert is now sent out to all the Protectors nearby in your neighborhood!

The SCAN page
Check out the alerts shared by other Protectors nearby on an easy-to-view map with location pinpointed. View alerts that are relevant to you using the built-in filter to select among summons (saman), crime, community, buy, and sell.
