About this app

What is this?
An app that helps the user learn common roots through multiple choice quizzes and thus prepares the user for tests with tough vocabulary words.

Who is this for?
-Anybody studying for an exam that has tough vocabulary words (e.g. SAT Critical Reading)
-People who don't like carrying around a thick stack of flashcards everywhere they go
-Those who hate memorizing vocabulary words and definitions

Why is studying the roots/prefixes/suffixes better than memorizing words and definitions?
Nobody likes memorizing a bunch of vocabulary words; they're hard to remember and there's no guarantee that even one of them will show up on the exam! But by learning the most common roots, you can deduce the definition of a word by its roots/prefixes/suffixes and context clues. And common latin roots are very likely to appear on the SAT Critical Reading Section. Learning the most common roots is faster, easier and more effective than memorizing thousands of vocabulary words.

How will this prepare me for my SAT test?
The next time you come across a difficult vocabulary word, you can look for any roots/prefixes/suffixes. From using this app, you'll know plenty of roots and thus you'll be able to deduce the definition of the word using the root and context clues. This is particularly useful for the SAT Critical Reading Section.

Features
-over 160 common roots to learn
-multiple choice quiz
-records your progress
-displays your progress as cards

Please note that this app is not affiliated with College Board and the SAT test or any other organization/standardized testing.
