Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing FLCC Where to? on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I wish all schools had a companion app like this! It's going to be extremely helpful to new students as they are trying to find their way around campus!

FLCC changed all the room numbers, which would have been smarter in the fall with new incoming students, and yet no updated map? Trying to find rooms now is practically impossible. Should have thought about the app when you took all the room numbers down MID SEMESTER and students did not know where to go with mid semester classes.

About this app

The "FLCC Where to?" app will help you get around Finger Lake Community College's main campus. It makes locating staff and faculty offices, emails and contact information fast and easy. That means right from the directory you can click on the number to call your professor or click the email link to send them an email. If you are not sure where their office is located, you can simply click on the "walking person" icon and it will show you on the map.

This app was created as an FLCC New Media Capstone project by Peter Cahill and Kaitlin Johnstone under the instruction of Paul Engin.
