Actually as I was looking inside the flash pix - it is a lossy format as well with absolutly normal jpeg compression (lossy - except for few functions as croping rotating and color adjusting - but you need a special soft for it, I guess kodak give you one) Anyway I am not a big fan of the format by myself. I will just suport loading from it, that's it. They do much more buzz about it than what it really is. Stick with jpg - or convert it to png (my favorite and loseless)

My Kodak DC210 Plus had the option of using FlashPix or JPEG. I used flashpix for a while because everyone had me a nervous reck about how JPEG is a lossy format. But when I realized my JPEG images wouldn't be changed if I didn't resave them I used JPEG because not all software would support Flashpix. My new DC4800 however does not support FlashPix so maybe Kodak is phasing Flashpix out.

Great App! A little more options would be cool, but not too many or we'd get confused choosing :P
