Doesn't work for previous track at all, whether I keep it on single press or double press. What the hell?

Works perfectly on my Note 9. I keep my phone in my pocket when I ride my motorcycle and need a way to skip songs and pause using the buttons. Bixby button wasn't an option, since it doesn't support this. But this app works exactly as needed and advertised. Thank you.

Hey man, I'm sure the app works well but I'm on MIUI 11 and it didn't work for me. Infact, it has messed up my volume buttons. I've uninstalled the app but the ADB command is still running in my phone (I think), so whenever I hit the volume buttons, the volume doesn't go up or down. It's been months since I uninstalled the app, and I've still been having this problem. Is there a way to undo the changes ADB made to my phone? Like a reverse ADB command to undo every thing and restore to default?

Works perfectly as described on SM-G935F! Free version is sufficient for most of the users which allows skipping the current track by a single volume down press. However, pro version comes at a reasonable price and further customization such as customizing the long press action which is what I was looking for. I got the pro version for the extra features and to support the developer. Thanks!

Hi I have an ZTE axon 7 and I cant find the long press skip option. I bought the pro version. Been connecting to pc with adb debugging enabled and Windows NextTrackSetup.exe set up for like 3 hours and not seeing any options. Did you remove the feature? Installations from pc just freeze when clicking Grant long press permission. EDIT: I think I know why. My phone latest update is still Android 7 unfortunately. Long press unfortunately doesn't work with 7? Still a great app nevertheless.

About this app

Next Track lets you skip songs, mute or stop music using your volume buttons. Next Track works with all standard music players to control music with the screen off. Remap your volume keys while listening to music. Choose single, double and long press actions.

Unlike other similar apps, Next Track does not require invasive permissions!

Ignore the reviews and rating, it's just people complaining that the full version costs money. I can't offer this app completely free. There are no ads and I don't collect and sell your personal info, so it has to have a very small price to cover development costs.

This free download lets you try it on your phone to make sure it works. With the free version, a single press of the volume down key will skip to the next track. A double press of the volume down key will lower the volume. The volume up key is not modified. If this is all you need, you're all set! No complicated setup is required.

Free version features
• Skip to next track with one press of volume down
• Decrease volume with more than one press
• Works with the screen off

If you want to do more, upgrade to the Pro version with an easy in-app purchase to unlock all features.

Pro version features (available thru in-app payment)
• Assign actions to volume down and volume up
• Assign functions to single press, double press and long press
• Actions available: next track, previous track, stop, mute, and do nothing
• Works with screen on, with screen off, or both
• Vibrate on key press
• Adjust double press delay

Next Track works only while music is playing. Your volume buttons work normally when music is not playing.

Notes:
-Volume up actions do not work when volume is at max
-Long press actions require a one-time adb command with phone connected to PC
-May not work well with screen off on some Huawei devices

More advanced remapping actions are available in my other app,
Button Mapper

Next Track does not require intrusive permissions, does not need root, does not have ads and does not collect or sell your info.
