Before and after update, the Text to Speech function has malfunction in a significant way. The TTS no longer plays once a screen display is darkened, once it does the TTS stops playing and if you select to play the UI on the screen it will shut off the TTS, and then you have to restart from the beginning. Changes to battery allowing unrestricted does nothing, to have continuous use I have to keep my phones screen on and that drains my battery. This app doesn't seem disabled friendly anymore.

Have been using this app since it launched back in 2015 and I love it. My only complaint is the text-to-speach isn't particularly stable. I use this function a lot to listen to fics at work. Most recent update actually broke text-to-speech now it only plays for about 60 seconds if it starts at all. Just keep getting "playback error, try again" over and over.

The last update wrecked the Text-to-Speech, which is the only reason I use this app. It wasn't amazing before this update, but now it is probably the worst thing in the app. Not only is the AI awful, but even if you chose to use something else, Text-to-Speech will crash after as little as a one sentence paragraph.

The new text to speech is very broken. It's like poorly executed AI or something. It adds tone and expression to the voice but it also cuts out constantly and reverts back and forth between the new and old system. I'm just hoping they roll it back and fix it.

If I could give it 10 Stars, I would. I use this app every single day. I'm not a writer, just an avid reader. I wish there were writing tutorials or something on here to help me become a better writer. It has been a lot of years since I was in high school or college, so if there were character building workshops, or plot line planning functions, I think it would help focus me so I can share the stories I have in my head. The lack of such is not a detractor for the app, just developer suggestion

Auto correct is horrible and speech to text barely helps, I once tried to type "fill" but auto-correct changed it to "Philippines". The PM function doesn't receive responses. When you try to go back to change a misspelled word it send you to the bottom a second after you hit "backspace". Notification glitch out and hits you with story updates even when nothing has been updated. Also, it doesn't treat contractions as words and highlights them blue. YOU GUYS NEED FIX THIS BS NOW, IT'S BEEN MONTHS!
