I typically use this app to record 7 mics at once from my behringer umc interface. 96000 sample rate, 24 bit, 7 lines, 0 issues. It's easier to set up a laptop of course, not having to bring a laptop is really nice. The app can record with the screen off, and will use very little battery while doing so. I saw a loss of around 5% per hour. Record in flac, and you can go a few hours before having to stop and restart recording. The app will split files at 2GB.

Does exactly what it says, a bit of a weird UI but it works extremely well for my particular use case since it allows for rapid retakes. Plays pretty nice with my Focusrite Solo interface.

Record quality clearly superior to other android apps. Great email support.

Really having a hard time with this software. I'm not going to rate it until I hear from the developers to see if there is a workaround or to learn definitively that the software simply won't function as intended by me. (Ugh, I can't submit without a rating, so I'll give it a 2 for the moment.) I'm using a Galaxy S21 and a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle to connect with my microphones - condenser, shotgun, binaural, and a couple of tiny weeny things. I can't get any input whatsoever into the recorder! I do get an 'initialized' notification, but when I try to record it says 'no input channel.' Is this software only meant to be used with a preamp? I wanted to use my phone as a simple field recorder without taking along any other accessories, which is what I thought I could do with it. Anyhoo, before you ask, YES, I can record into other audio software with the same setup, so there is definitely some incompatibility of some sort going on here.

Works perfectly with my Behringer X Air XR18 and Google Pixel 2. I wish I knew about this way sooner...It would have made recording live shows a breeze compared to setting up someone's expensive laptop. I really wish that it recorded in mono instead of stereo but realize that might work the Android system harder. It's not a big deal separating the tracks in reaper. Being able to record 8 stereo tracks into an old phone is pretty remarkable. Not enough people in the music scene know about this...

i I got this app. while it records from my Mackie Profx8 mixer through USB into my S9 Plus Samsung Gakaxy phone, however when I play on my phone, the volume of the sound is very low. I am not sure why the playback when I hear (without connecting to any blue tooth device) has very low volume ??? If I share my recodings with Freinds and family, they are also not able to hear the way they are used to listening to any normal app ( after making the volume to the maximum) let me know a solution

About this app

Record and playback audio in high quality from a USB audio interface! Warning: this is not a generic driver, you can only playback and record from within this app. It is not possible to use your USB audio device with other apps!

Please have a look here for a list of tested devices and more information:
http://www.extreamsd.com/USBAudioRecorderPRO

If you are more interested in a media player, please see our USB Audio Player PRO app:

eXtream Software Development has written a custom USB audio driver from scratch because many Android devices do not support USB audio or not in the full quality that our driver offers. No rooting is required.

Your USB audio device must be class-compliant in order to work: USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 class-compliant devices are supported with either USB audio spec 1.0 or 2.0. Devices that require you to install specific drivers under Windows or OSX will usually not work.

Make sure to connect your audio device BEFORE starting the app. If you get a message on start-up saying that the device failed to initialize, your device will not work (for now). Reasons can be that your Android device does not meet the requirements, it does not supply enough power (try a powered hub), the USB audio device is not class-compliant or you are not using an OTG cable (if needed).

Please let us know if your Android/audio device combination works.

Note that this app also functions as the license/key to use USB audio in Audio Evolution Mobile.

Features:
• USB audio recording
• USB audio playback
