The tool would be great if only the exercises were truly random. Unfortunately when you take a test with say 5 possible intervals to guess, the first time you truly have to choose from the 5 possibilities, but the second time only between the remaining 4 and so on. So by the 4th or 5th time you don't have to listen, you already know the answer. Then it starts over. For the statistics to make sense, all 5 possibilities should be proposed every time without excluding a previous interval.

I have been into music for as long as I can remember but I never learned theory. This app has taught me SO MUCH! I really appreciate the recent updates, especially the guided lessons. I liked the free version enough that I gladly paid the very low onetime fee to unlock additional lessons. This is a terrific app for improving music theory skills! My ONE complaint is the rhythm exam being 4 bars. I can barely remember and repeat a two bar rhythm. I feel set up for failure with 4 bars.

Excellent app! This paired with their Clefs app make a an easy way to study music on the go. I can't wait to get a midi cable to go from my keyboard to my cell phone and look forward to practicing that way as well. The exercises are easy to understand and the application has a clean user interface that is simple to operate.

Soooo... I might have been pretty tone deaf, but I am seeing improvement when I take the time to use the app every day. I like the daily exercises it picks based on what you have been working on recently. The exercises for dictation can be a bit clunky at times, but otherwise, it does what it advertises: trains your ear.

I'm not a fan of the excercises that involve typing the notes on the piano. The octaves aren't taken into account, and they keyboard given doesn't correspond with the notes in the exercises, so it gets confusing as a non-piano person when the highest note in the drill is the lowest note you can select

Excellent app except for the lack of account or cloud save. You have to buy the in-app purchases for every phone! And if you don't manually export and import your data, you'll have to start all over. Aside from these issues, it's really helpful.
