Experience it Once, you will cherish is for ever. I am a beginner in music field, tried this app. Amazed by the quality of Tanpura sound. Above all just hear the music for sometime your mind will calm down. Now more than for music I use it as meditation tool and when I do my regular work I hear this music with right volume, it helps me to maintain my concentration. - For musicians it is an essential tool. - For others it is stress buster or meditation tool.

Very nice sound - the best I heard from several similar apps. Misses fine pitch tuning, has annoying registration requirement an can't be purchased from the Play store which is a pity because I like it.

The sound quality of this app is quite good almost equivalent to the itanpura. But I have a point. There is an initial jerky sound before the first string is played (pancham, madhyam, Nishad). I request the developers to have a look into it. In the coming versions of this app, kindly ensure that all the 4 strings are played in harmony so that they are soothing to the ears. Thank you.

eSWAR TANPURA - TANJORE

Tanpura is a divine instrument in south India (Carnatic music). Tanpuras are made from the bark of Jackfruit tree & the rest of the country (Hindustani Music) makes from the shell of bottle gourd. Sounds produced by such wooden instruments cannot be replaced by any technology intervention. Over time, the art of making Tanpura is dying and in the current scenario the learners are not trained in tuning Tanpura which is a very complicated and a passionate time consuming art.
 
Post the introduction of crystal based electronic Tanpuras where the sounds were system generated, the authenticity of the sounds has gotten detoriated and Tanpura has gotten to an extent of meager formality. The thought behind creating Tanpura Live is to restore the authenticity of the live Tanpura sounds.
 
The route to the creation was to record the live sounds from Tanpura sourced from musical legends tuned to perfect 440Hz and played by seasoned professionals. The sounds were recorded with utmost perfection and in the right ambience set to 18 degrees.  
 
The resultant product is a treasure of perfect sounds that is bound to give a true concert feel for learners, amateurs, teachers and performing professionals. (Amplification may be required)
