This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AR Portal on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

This app opens a doorway to different experiences. Only phones with AR Core are supported.

Ever wanted to experience a sunrise by the beach? Ever wondered what is like to ride the waves as a surfer?

This FREE augmented reality app lets you do all these things. Simply download the PORTALS which you want to experience and open a portal to another dimension.

Walk through the doorway and immerse yourself in a 360 degree view of a beach sunrise or see inside a wave in slow motion as you are taken for a ride.

HOW TO USE THE APP

1. Accept the write to storage permissions so the app can download the portals.
2. Press "DOWNLOAD PORTAL" and follow the instructions. The notification bar tracks progress of the download.
3. Once the download is done, press "OPEN PORTAL".
4. Point your phone in front of you so that AR Core can detect the plane until you will see little white/red/purple squares. CLICK on the area where the squares show.
5. A portal door opens up. WALK THROUGH IT and immerse yourself in the experience.
