This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing scan my tesla on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Fantastic app! Perfect for anyone who's a nerd and wants access to all that geeky low level data Tesla doesn't let you normally see. Only thing I'd like to see is some more cell detail for the Model 3/Y like it does for the S/X but maybe that data isn't available on the bus.

Great apps but can you make it a real dashboard? App is great for seeing various stats however, I would like to make it a usable daily driver app. I think you have everything you need to build a pretty cool dashboard to put behind the steering with speed, regen, power information (limits, current), you could start with a non customizable one, then allow to selecting what data will be shown.

Worked for 5 mins then can't get a connection. Tried getting support for cable and odbii but not a lot of action. Trying to get a refund now.

Great app, load of values. Would be good if they follow the Tesla SW updates a bit faster. The current version shows a wrong max discharge power for instance

Great app overall when its working. Still living with bluetooth connection issues. I lose the connection often if I reload the app and won't get it back until I unplug the adapter. Didn't offer any real solution. Until then I will not give my 5 stars. Update: Almost a year and nothing have been fixed. Wasted my money.

Scan My Tesla reads information from the diagnostics port of your Tesla Model S, 3, or X, to present visually, or log for later analysis.

Now supports Model Y! Just select Model 3 inside the app for now.

This app gives you numerous live statistics such as:
- Battery power / voltage / current / temperatures
- Drive Unit electric power / torque / horsepower* / RPM / temperatures
- Battery lifetime stats, capacity estimates and mileage
- 12V system current, voltage, temperature
- Trip recording and statistics, including regenerated and charged energy

(* currently not available on Model 3)

Needs an ELM327 or STN1110 compatible OBD2 bluetooth adapter + OBD2->Tesla Diagnostic port cable. (There are at least 2 different plugs depending on your model year)
OBDLink MX bluetooth, or other high quality, STN1100 based adapter that supports the ST command set is highly reccommended.
BLE / Bluetooth Low Energy or wifi adapters are currently not supported.
