This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Karching-DE-Demo-Prototype on PC Windows and Mac.

About this app

Many jurisdictions that hand out driver's licences have a requirement that before students may take a driving test, they must submit a log which demonstrates a certain number of hours of supervision by a more experienced licensed driver (or drivers) that were present during the student's drives.

Traditionally, this has been done with 18th century technology (a pencil or pen and a
log book form torn out of a driver's education manual).

Karching Driver's Education brings the technology into the 21st century. When both the student and the supervisor(s) download the app and synchronize their downloads together, whenever both parties are moving in a car (above a walking-pace speed) the
two apps will automatically record the trip to a database that records the length of the trip and the number of daytime and/or nighttime minutes as well as the name of the supervisor present.

A drive may also be manually recorded if desired.

This database will be used to create a printable log to replace the pencil and paper technology currently in use.
