My Huawei BND-L34 (MATE SE) always crashes on opening this app. No amount of charging, screen rotating or battery saving will do anything but flash the loading screen for less than a second. This app looks really cool and I'd love to use it!

About this app

Hear your favorite Spotify tunes with brand-new ears: Use high-quality DSP effects and unique looping algorithms to generate unheard polyrhythmic results. Play any track faster or slower, reversed or pitched and do things that were never possible with any hardware turntable.

Special features: Pocket Bits SP-11 can mimic and emulate the digital errors caused by damaged compact discs. In order to generate enigmatic micro loops you no longer need to manually scratch the surface of your favorite CDs (if you still have some). With Pocket Bits SP-11 you can load any track from Spotify and the app will create "virtual scratches" that can then be modified and mangled with various parameters.

Up to four independent voices can be canonically layered, tuned, deformed and rescoped.

Tips: Isolate micro loops using the Sil-Knob. Start or stop looping and adjust the length paramter up to a few milliseconds. Any Spotify track can be loaded and played back on top. Various unique DSP effects allow to modify the track input as well as the individual voices. You can glue FX knob movements into your loop by switching from 'Dry' to 'Wet' before starting a new loop. Unmute a voice and turn up the volume on the master section to hear the loaded Spotify track. By default, only voice 1 is playing. All knobs that feature a centered position, such as the Pan knob, can be centered again by double-tapping on the knob. All four voices - plus one loaded Spotify track - can be played in Stereo. Stereo and Pan require a device that supports Stereo playback. Pitch your loops for Traktor style scratch effects - just as known from real "vinyl" record players. Scrobble samples in real-time and mix it altogether - much easier than it could be done in a hardware sampler.

Get ready to produce never heard cuts of your favorite tracks - or just create smooth ambient soundscapes using Spotify tracks as source.
