About this app

We are passionate about our health and the environment so have prioritised organic food for over two decades. We know the pressure on the home budget and have been forced to drop our standards several times due to the costs.

Ground Grocer is our mission to make fresh organic food affordable. We run the shop as a co-op with volunteer workers even though we actually own the business. Our volunteers get 30% off the entire store. If working for the best price is not possible, a general membership will get you 20% off the retail price of all fruit and veges.

We compare our member's price against several local organic shops each month and it's a massive saving over the cost of the year. Some of our fresh prices are less than Coles' and Woolworths' chemicalised, mainstream produce. So how much are they ripping you and the environment off when all of this "food" is full of toxic chemicals, cold-stored for months, transported thousands of miles and tasteless! ?

We often say to each other, if Ground Grocer existed 10 years ago when we were really struggling to afford organic fresh for our kids, we would have jumped at the chance to save $90 a week. (yes, we could drop $300 at Miami Markets easily)
