Was a great app about 3 yrs ago. Now it crashes indefinitely. Ads will not post and are stuck in draft. Unable to see saved/favourite items. Can't upload more than 3 photos without the draft freezing. Messages from buyers are alerted on my phone but will only load once i force close the app. Can' send photos anymore to people. Been on this app for 13 years and can't seem to stop the nonstop emails coming through. Overall a good app for searching, but goodluck to those using it for selling.

This app was great,but over last few years has got so ad filled,buggy and problem filled it now basically crashes my phone's ability to function,(hard shut down required). I get scared to use gumtree now as I know it will seize up and freeze and be a waste of time after a few minutes,not to mention the anger of hitting accidentally the half page movie ads 😡 Talk about going backwards.

Worked for a while but when I just opened it the app said it was off-line even though it's connected to my WiFi which is fine, I then tried it over 4G and it's the same problem. It's a pain because I'm waiting for a reply from a buyer. Absolute waste of time, the buyer ended up being a scammer (according to Reddit posts), I deleted the ad and then put it up on Facebook Marketplace and came across another scammer who wanted me to send them the money (plus $200.00). I decided to keep it.

App crashing when selecting bird category. 16 Oct: App and website needs dark mode preference! ⚠️ Inline notification replies from notification pull down never work. Just forever sending on S21. Good network connections. Multiple times broken like this. Please fix this ASAP. Android 13. Also hard to find edit ad function button. Should make it that you can highlight ads from the ad index screen and edit that way.

As a seller, the one thing you want to be able to do is edit your ad, but this app consistently fails to save your changes and you have to use your web browser instead. What a waste of time. Updated 14/11/23, now you can't see the profile of people making enquiries, it just keeps getting worse. Updated 23/11/23, the quick response buttons are gone too, how many times am I going to have to type "Yes, it's still available"?

When talking through the messenger on Gumtree app. One can no longer select a photo to send to customers. Only 'recent' images appear. The option to select from gallery and scroll through folders to select a photo to send, is no longer available. This week inevitable reduce the convenience of using messenger forcing the use of direct emails to send potential customers photos. Serious Flaw which must be rectified if Gumtree has any hope of staying amongst the top platforms that sellers use.
