Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing eBackpack for Parents on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. This app is hard to use and you need to pay extra to see files of your student. But there are no thumbnails and finding documents that correspond to an assignment is not obvious. It's not obvious when the student has not submitted anything (i.e. no attachment). I am very disappointed.

Can't access app without paying $9.99. I was under the understanding it was free. It's easier for me to monitor my kids from both app and Web. How can I do that if I have to pay to access it?

Not very functional for the money. The same capabilities can be had from. The the free website version. I really would like to be able to download assignments as PDFs, but it doesn't support that.
