About this app

Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad has been in the vanguards to make the city more beautiful and environment friendly. It has launched extensive tree plantation campaign to contribute to realizing Prime Minister’s vision of making Pakistan clean and green. One million trees have already been planted in 2019 and another one million are planned this year on 900 acres of Margalla to restore the Green backdrop of the capital.
For monitoring of this Natural Capital, we have launched an App called “Tree Plantation MCI”, which is an online carbon sequestration registry portal, to list and track tree plantations that are managed to sequester carbon. It serves as a digital platform for monitoring and reporting of tree plantations. The purpose is to ensure sustainable growth of trees, save precious money, time and effort and produce higher environmental impact. “Tree Plantation MCI” is a role based mobile tree plantation application to record plant information with an elaborate metadata, including complete plant life cycle, geo-tagging and post plantation maintenance and follow-up. The App has a dashboard showing the team composition and hierarchy, assigned vs planted flora, weekly and monthly reporting, mortality data and time series etc.
