Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Driverly on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

This application will keep you safe while driving. It will monitor your driving behaviour, helping you stay awake and alert after much time of driving.

This is part of a research project of the University of Twente about road safety, avoiding accidents by drivers who feel tired or sleepy.

Your participation is important to us, to help us improve our model, and reduce accidents from happening on the streets. All data collected will be anonymous and used solely for research purposes.

Added a dynamic graph during driving, updated every second, showing current driving score
The user can now change what happens on a second alert (see in settings)
The user can now change the sensitivity of the detection algorithm
Added some more explanation on how the app works
Changed hard-braking value (due to some false positives).
Changed thresholds for sudden speed changes (due to some false positives)
Better feedback and summary to user after every driving session
