It's kinda ok, looks nice, has variety, good sources, pleasant to look at, etc. BUT, it has room to grow! Would be nice if instead of just 20 categories, it allowed for more. Would be nice if it allowed defaulting to just 1 category or just 1 group of categories, and this default got to update often. All others could be on a per need basis or scheduled like just once a day. Would be nice if it used a cache for articles instead of checking the entire internets for my varied categories. Would be nice if there was an option to choose the location for the articles cache, like on phone memory or on sd card. Would be nice if there was auto-purging for cached articles on a scheduled basis, like after 1 day for articles I've read, a d 2 days for unread ones. Would be nice if I could add and/or remove website sources from categories. I don't like Fox News, they report fake news. When I read news, I want only real stuff. When I read about ufo cattle abductees, I expect some of them to be fake. Would be nice if notifications could be turned on and off for specific categories and even specific websites. The basic goodness is in this app! It can still improve. See the configurability of greader, just dont stagnate and die like greader.
