This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Join DOTA on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

can immagine its a great app but no videos or steams will load, screen just stays black... tryed through wifi and without, dosent change anything, using a galaxey note 2 the news dosent seem to load either, good concept though

Vods and streams not working. Please note adobe trash player is phased out, there will be no new version for android and is not supported on some cpu at all. Twitch (which is used by jd streams) has embed code for using native device players, so you can fix links that require adobe. Until this is fixed, this app is useless.

Running it on my xperia x10. Works fine till the news. As soon as I select a livestream or a vod,screen goes black and nothing happens. Pls fix asap.

Definitely a 1 star for this, I clicked one of the streams there and there is this black screen popping out and I waited for 15 mins but still nothing appeared. Fix this and Ill rate 5 stars.

I realize this is an ongoing problem yet there has been no updates for several months now. I am using the HTC Droid DNA. Would love to see a fix soon...otherwise useful app

The unofficial Android application for viewing live streams and VODs for http://www.joindota.com/.


The Livestreams are still not 100% functioning. I will be working on this on the next release.

New features will be released soon so watch out for these features in the next few weeks/months.

Note:
There is a known issue about the Flash Player plugin on some rooted phones which does not happen all the time. If you only have audio and no video, follow these steps.

1. Force Close the Join DOTA application on your application manager. (This ensures that the changes you make will take effect)
2. Open your file manager or download File Manager from the Play Store.
3. Make sure in the application's settings the Root Explorer is checked.
4. Navigate to and remove all permissions for /data/data/com.dokgu.joindota/app_plugins/com.adobe/flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player/config.data

This file restricts video playback of over 240p.

**ONLY DO THIS IF YOU EXPERIENCE ONLY AUDIO AND BLANK VIDEO**

Since this application parses the JoinDOTA webpage, if the structure of such webpage changes, this application will most probably fail to work.

I apologize for the very late fix, I was working on a very large project and had no time to work on Join DOTA. What's in this update?
Fixed the News and the VODs section not showing any results.
Version 3.7 will now play VODs.
