It's got useful info but the writing is so greyed out over the top of the image that half of it is unreadable as it's not bold enough over the picture. The image should be greyed out so he writing can be viewed not the other way round. Totally counter intuitive. The information would be better in a website rather than an app that cost £2.79. Bit of a rip off to be honest. There are plenty of free apps with more info than this one. Disappointed.

Info is useful, but almost entirely unreadable as they place black text over images of a black dog.

Great idea if the text were legible. Unfortunately the image is overlaid with the wrong opacity. It's possible to read most of the "descriptors" (e.g. ears back, mouth closed, etc) for the image, but the sentences describing the meaning and explanation are mostly illegible. Tried to reach the developer and got no response.

App was OK. It has a bug that does not allow access to one section. Very short and basic info, would suggest youtube search as alternative if you don't want to buy an app.

Sadly very difficult to read as the overlay text is overlapping the images. The information can probably also be found for free somewhere else on the internet. Videos of actual animals showing the behaviours + voice narration would be much better than cartoony images + text.

Helpful, but the text over the pictures blends in so you can't read a lot of the words.

About this app

Dog Body Language app

Do you know how to read your dog body language? Do you understand what your dog is thinking when he tries to tell you he’s stressed, fearful, or ready for a fun time? Can you tell the difference between excitement and fear, or between aggression and the need to play?

Dog body language can be confusing, but with the help of Dog Decoder, you’ll understand your dog signals like a pro.

Dog Decoder will teach you everything you need to know about how your dog communicates and understand their behavior, so you can not only avoid bites, but share in a more satisfying, healthy, and loving relationship.

=== MEET “DIAMOND” ===

Diamond is your tour guide and trainer. He will show you how he looks when he’s afraid when he’s stressed through his body language, when he’s just about to bite, and when he wants to play.

=== DOG POSTURES & talk to your dog ===
There are about SIXTY different poses on display in the Dog Decoder app. Each dog body language pose is beautifully and expressively illustrated by one of the world’s top dog artists, Lili Chin of Doggie Drawings.

Each dog pose comes with a diagram, pointing out where on Diamond’s body he’s indicating how he’s feeling. For example, in the poses for “fear,” the diagram will point out Diamond’s tucked tail, his ears pulled back, etc. We won’t just show you a picture of a scared dog — we’ll teach you what to look for, the signs of fear.

Each dog body language pose also comes with a helpful description of the context. This is where you will learn about some common misconceptions, or what kinds of situations will cause your dog to assume each posture.

=== TEST YOURSELF! ===

The best way to see how much you’ve learned is to take the quiz! Some of the quiz questions are pretty challenging. Diamond wants to make sure you don’t get fooled next time he’s hiding under the coffee table or drooling – will you recognize the early dog warning signs of dog stress? Will you be able to warn your children when your dog is clearly done playing?
