About this app

Make It Appn: Over the past few months, Lower East Side resident, Rory Mondshein, has been working with local politician, Dodge Landesman, and Indian app developer, Pratyush Mishra, to develop a mobile application for the city of New York "Make It Appn".

Not only does Make It Appn centralize social service information (including public assistance and health information) but it fosters greater altruism in New York City by allowing people to book homeless shelters for people in need. Make It Appn is a patented app, which will be available for android and IOS, includes a map of shelters and allows people to book online. Dodge Landesman, who is running for State Committee, is supplementing this by proposing tax breaks for any mattress company that offers to make up for the shortage of beds.

Make It Appn also lets you connect to politicians and know who your representatives are in an effort to improve greater government transparency.
