Mari coba tengok hadits yang disampaikan oleh Sayyidina Umar bin Khattab radliyallahu ‘anhu, bahwasanya Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda demikian:

“Barang siapa yang berwudlu kemudian dia mengucap: Asyhadu an laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa syariika lah, wa asyhadu anna muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuuluh (artinya: aku bersaksi bahwa tidak ada tuhan selain Allah dan aku bersaksi bahwa Nabi Muhammad adalah utusan Allah), dibukakan untuknya pintu surga yang delapan, dan dia bisa masuk dari pintu mana saja yang dia sukai.”

Hadits tersebut diriwayatkan oleh Imam Muslim di dalam shahihnya. Dengan berpegang pada satu hadits ini saja kiranya sudah sangat cukup untuk meyakinkan diri kita sendiri bahwasanya membaca doa setelah wudlu bisa memberikan sesuatu yang sangat besar yang pastinya diinginkan oleh setiap muslim.
