Fantastic! I bought the Marantz sr5014 months ago. Due to the reviews, I never bothered with this app. Being bored I decided to try it. Downloaded, opened, turned on music and had full access with the app! Basically flawless. It's great to make adjustments without having the TV on. I don't have the issue of battery drain either. I love it! I have the Motorola edge+ phone with Android 11. Sorry that others aren't having the same experience. I would suggest doing the free download and try it out.

I've had this app for 3 years, and it has progressively become worse to the point of basically being unusable. Crashes, severe lag, and unresponsive commands, using multiple devices on either IOS or Android. I'd say this app is a joke, but I guess the joke is on me, considering I shelled out a lot of money for a receiver that advertised having the features that are supposed to be available in this app. I will likely buy another brand of receiver that has a usable app.

Slow and buggy. Quits frequently. Not intuitive. Finds my 7010 and crashes less than the other Marantz apps. Do I even have the right app installed? There are so many, they all seem old, out dated, and buggy.

UI and UX are pretty good but performance is not great! App is mostly sluggish, response is kind of slow and there are frequent crashes. I do like all the app connectivity and integrations that Marantz is doing with their products. I look forward to future enhancements with good performance and ease of use!

The app has such high power usage that it'll wear down the battery even when my phone is connected to the charger. marantz sells the receiver it controls with a host of power saving functions. They dropped the ball on the app. You can leave it running so is cumbersome to use for anything more than a novelty.

Poor UI, very high battery usage. The app is functional I'll give it that, meaning it does allow you to control the AVR. Please please fix the insane battery usage. It averages 15% a day just in background! A few times I got a warning message saying it was overloading my phone and had to shut down.

Control the basic functions of your Marantz product with power, volume, input and settings. Have direct access to Smart Select and Surround Modes.
Network browsing is either done with the Marantz AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
