This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Stoney Language Dictionary on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

The Stoney Language Dictionary is designed to preserve, protect and carry forward the Stoney language from generation to generation. Through the wisdom and guidance from the Elders of the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, the dictionary is continually being updated with new words and definitions to help preserve the Stoney language for generations to come.

Audio Pronunciations
Elders and language experts from the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation have dedicated time to recording audio pronunciation guides to assist those who wish to speak Stoney.

Search In Stoney or English
The entire dictionary can be searched in either Stoney or English. Words can also be searched by category.

Word of the Day
Enable push notifications to receive the word of the day. These helpful educational reminders will be your daily dose of learning the Stoney language.

Members Only
Users must register for access to the application from the app login screen. Your request will be evaluated by an administrator and if approved your access will be granted via email.
