DIRECTV gives you an innovative complement to your entertainment experience, the DIRECTV App. With the DIRECTV App for Android use your Android tablet as a remote control for your set-top box (requires DIRECTV Nexus). Use the intuitive DIRECTV App to quickly check the program guide, in or out of your home. You can also view content recommendations and see photos and biographies of actors and filmmakers. Easily find movies and TV shows via posters. The DIRECTV App also gives you the option to share the content you're watching on Facebook and Twitter.

Main Features:
- Remote Control
Use your Android tablet as a remote control for your DIRECTV set-top boxes. This function can be enjoyed from anywhere in your home as long as your tablet is connected to the same network as your set-top boxes. This function is only available with DIRECTV Nexus.

- Program Guide
Check the 14-day program guide from your tablet without having to interrupt the programming on your TV. Filter by favorite channels, select favorite channels with a single click and see additional information on any program.

- Remote Recording
Record programs on your HD DVR directly from the DIRECTV App, whether you are in or out of the home.

- HD DVR Playlist
Manage your Playlist, view or delete recordings and play your recordings on your TV, all directly from the App. This function is only available with DIRECTV Nexus.

- Watching Now
See information about the program that is currently playing on your TV at home. This function is only available with DIRECTV Nexus.

- QuickTune and Favorite Channels
Customize modules with your favorite channels or channel genres. You can also use the default modules, which contain Kids, Sports, and News content.

- Movies and TV
Browse and discover the thousands of movies and shows that DIRECTV offers. View photos and biographies of the cast and crew. View posters of shows and movies. Find recommendations based on similar content for most shows and movies.

- Social Networks
Share information about the programs you’re watching on Facebook or Twitter.

Requirements:
- All DIRECTV customers with a MiDIRECTV account can use the application
- Use of the application requires a wireless connection
- The Watching Now, Remote Control, and Playlist features require a DIRECTV NEXUS account, an LHR22 or LHR26 connected to the internet and access to the same wireless network that the set-top boxes are connected to
- Remote recording requires an HD DVR
- Social network sharing requires a Facebook or Twitter account
