I can not justify telling anyone to use this app. The reasons I will list. 1. Crashes almost every episode of what ever I watch. 2. It locks up when authorizing aka loading video. 3. Audio sometimes does not work. 4. Does not have cast to Google tv function. I use mirror screen, but screen aspect is smaller 5. I'm sure I will find more issues so you'll have to want for #5 and beyond.

Ever since ATT merge with Directv it has gone down hill. I can't watch my directv package on the my phone. So I am missing a lot of channels that are not available. I tried to hook up my laptop to watch directv but it said to install directv player done that several times and it doesn't work. Come on AT&T read these complaint. Your paying customers are telling you what's wrong. Fix it!!! Now there is more options for us to go to other services and leave AT&T

Whenever I have to exit an episode I am watching on my phone, it will then get stuck on "authorizing" when I go back to it, and will never again open and play that episode. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, I've cleared cache and storage, restarted phone, nothing works! Only thing it will do is let you go to the next episode that you haven't streamed yet, missing whatever was reminding on the one it gets stuck on. Very frustrating, useless app! ;(

Very annoying to have to always sign in with email & password every time I watch, every time I am off app for even few seconds...in an evening of TV watching I have to repeat this numerous times. Have started to NOT watch at all due to this irritating requirement. Seriously, is there no other option ? Can't you tell I have an account without this repetitive, time consuming, and annoying requirement ? I have account with DirecTV for streaming to my smartphone. No TV or other devices.

Unbelievable how much this sucks! A glitch every once in a while is one thing. It's more like it works once I a while and not very often. Want to watch game on phone while watching tv...forget it. SUPPOSED to work in house. I'll be shopping.

On a service call, someone from Directv came to my home and showed me this app. He also tried to get me to switch over to AT&T with my cell service, which I politely declined. The app worked just fine that day. But now I can't download anything from my queue. I keep getting an error message saying that this app is not responding.

• Watching On Demand or select Live TV Streaming channels outside the home requires an active Wi-Fi or 3G/4G Internet connection. For best performance, connect to a strong Wi-Fi signal.
• Available content is based on your current programming package and premium service. Not all content is available to stream at this time
• Live TV Streaming in-home only channels and remote control requires a Wi-Fi connection to your home network and a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR (models R22, and HR20 or higher) connected to a broadband Internet connection. Remote control also works with HD receivers (models H21, H23 or higher) connected to a broadband Internet connection
• DVR streaming and downloading requires Internet-connected Genie HD DVR model HR44 or higher and compatible mobile device. To download, must be in-home on same Wi-Fi network connected to DVR
• App download, advertisements and non-streaming app activity may incur data usage
• Scheduling a recording requires a Wi-Fi, or mobile network connection and a DIRECTV Plus® DVR or HD DVR
• Receivers do not require phone or Internet connection to schedule a recording
