BIO

Haze spent the adolescent years of his life in Montclair, NJ and later on in and around Newark. It was in Newark where the persona known as Haze Brown was born. Artists such as Outkast, Ludacris, Redman, and Nelly influenced Haze early on into the world of Hip Hop. Ironically, his first experience in writing on his own was a mockery of the thong song. In the kitchen that afternoon he realized he had a knack for rhyming. From there he started writing and rapping focusing more on humorous topics. Until at age 16 when he found another use for writing, and began using it as an outlet. Along with Jay Sweetz, a childhood friend and the one who pushed him into serious writing, Haze then started and fell out of different rap groups, not being able to find anyone as serious about the music. At 20, he began his most recent rap group The Embassy, not including Jay Sweetz who had moved by this time, releasing only one album titled “Digital Anarchy” (available on amazon.com). The group came to an unexpected halt after a fall out among friends in 2008. Left on his own again Haze continued writing and searching for a musical home. A promising moment came shortly after the group’s end when Haze was signed to Goon Toonz, a record label founded by Cousin Al-Tariq “Heathen” Miller. Haze auditioned for the label and was signed on his own merit. Now focusing on his solo career, after what Haze deemed a sign when his mother suggested to him to write his frustrations into an album, he released the 4 already written tracks on “F.O.H”. F.O.H; an EP that focuses on the subjects of his anger stemmed from the stupidity and negative output from the society we are surrounded by, added to all the personal turmoil of his life that all brought him to a moment that made him say “Fuck outta here”. Haze is now working on “Bright Lights Dim Minds”, his first solo album. It’s what he describes as “A story of the good and bad sides of fame and fortune from an everyday man".
