About this app

Digilib4u is an app for engineering college students to access digital libraries of their colleges remotely, search the required books in the database and read them, as and when required.
This app breaks the limitations of orthodox libraries, where students had to be physically present in the library to either search the required book through catalogue or get it issued to him/her through front desk assistant.
Students could keep the issued book with them for only few days, as per the rules of the library. Once it was issued to a student, no other student could use it. This was the greatest limitation of the olden libraries.
Digilib4u overcomes all those limitations and provides access to an entirely new and modern type of library, called Digital Library. Students, who register with the digital library of their college, can read the books of their digital libraries from either their college campus of from their home or any other place of their choice.
On registration they are provided with login credentials by the librarian. Using these credentials, they login into the digital library of the college and perform following functions:
- Search the required book, using powerful search facilities provided in the app.
- Access the required book and read it, remotely.
- Using this app, students can make their personal notes and save them on their local computer. While making the notes they can also copy important information from the eBooks and paste it in their personal notes.
- It also displays local weather conditions to keep students updated.
- It also displays news items to keep the students aware of global current affairs.
Apart from course eBooks, Digilib4u also provides access to large database of video lectures, research papers and other repositories.
