About this app

This End Up Furniture Company. was founded in Raleigh, North Carolina by two students from North Carolina State University. The Company and its furniture were an immediate success and widely accepted throughout North Carolina and surrounding states. The founders sold the Company to Melville Corporation in 1988. Under Melville, the Company grew to over 240 mall based stores nationwide. In 1998, Melville Corporation sold the company to Citicorp Venture Capital. By 2000, despite growing sales, the Company encountered financial problems that led to bankruptcy and the liquidation of its assets.
The new owner purchased the intellectual property in October of 2000 and established manufacturing operations in the spring of 2001. Since then, the new Company has grown into a 250,000 square foot manufacturing plant and offers substantially all furniture items offered by the original Company as well as several new lines of furniture.
