Needs offline mode, signal in venues is pretty much non existent and it doesn't get much better outside on a bank holiday weekend

There is little-to-no phone signal in the venues in which Desertfest takes place, yet the app doesn't work offline! As soon as you open it, the stage times are cleared before the app tries (and fails) to fetch them from the Internet. Let the user sync manually – stale data is better than no data, in this case.
