Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Decrash on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. The app seems to be much helpful. The dizziness detection algorithm is robust and other features seems great too! Also, quite user friendly. Can still be improved further in terms of GUI.

About this app

Decrash is an app which uses your smartphones’ internal sensors to monitor your
movement & more importantly sense a rapid unscheduled deceleration (a crash).
Decrash uses advanced algorithms like DTW, acoustic feedback and CNN using real car crash data.


Automatic car accident detection and notification:
Decrash detects car accidents using the Accelerometer and GPS of your
smartphone, and sends an emergency notification with your location to your pre-
selected emergency contact and the nearest hospital. This allows your contacts to
send help as soon as possible and also ensures emergency medical aid which might
be a life safer in critical situations.

Manual or Automatic Mode:
Decrash app service can be configured to run in manual or automatic mode.

Effective Dizziness Notification:
If the car driver is feeling dizzy or sleepy, Decrash will start a loud alarm which will call for their attention .
This alarm will help alert such driver to take caution while driving ahead.

Rash Driving Detection:
Decrash also gives an alert if the user is driving recklessly which might become the cause of some accident later.

Nearby Hospitals/Accident Prone Areas:
The user can also find nearby hospitals with the help of the app in case of any
medical emergency. Accident prone areas can also be viewed through the app.
