Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Blocklify 4 Kids on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. About this app

This app uses the Bluetooth 4 LE to connect to Dash and Dot and then interact with them usinga simplified version of Blockly on both phones and tablets running android 4.4+

** Please check that your phone has Bluetooth 4 LE before downloading. **

It is not meant to be a replacement for the great WW apps!

This is a simplified version of the "Blocklify" App especially targeted at younger owners of Dash and Dot. The blocks have fewer options and there are 7 lessons that introduce what each block does.

Cool Things
===========
* Uses the same colour scheme as the official app so children can transition from this app to the official without problems.
* Event, Drive, Sound, Logic are all implemented.
* 7 lessons introducing the basic WW blocks.

Limitations
===========
* None of the more complex blocks, Blockly blocks and event variables are present, get the "Blocklify" app for those.
* There is a Wait Block in the control section so you can program the robots to wait after each sound.

Controls
===========
There is a "?" button that will reopen the help once it is closed.

The "Run" button executes the program. Click "Stop" to cancel the current program.
