About this app

These are my battles with Bipolar Disorder Type I, told in poetry format. It is my personal journey with a mental illness, and my quest for truth, balance and self-discovery.

The poems were written over the course of five years, some written during manic phases, some during depression, and others during moments of hope.

About a year ago, it suddenly occurred to me that I could fit the poems together like a puzzle, which told a more complete story.

I decided to assemble this book, first as a PDF draft and then as a downloadable application, to share with the world and anyone living with mental illness either directly or indirectly.

Disclaimer: I use a lot of spiritual references and mention God in my writing. I try to keep clear-cut religion out and opt for a more universal approach, but my writing may still have an undertone of my true religious views. If you are sensitive to spiritual topics and religious thinking, do not download this book.
