About this app

This app works by simulating a sound that the female mosquito is dripping. However, this app does not protect you 100% against mosquito bites, but can alleviate your mosquito problem.

The latest version of the device, launched at the end of 2018, has two frequency settings, one of about 17.4 kHz which can usually only be heard by young people, and another at 8 kHz which can be heard by most people. The manufacturer stated that the maximum potential sound pressure level at the outlet was 108 decibels (dB). In addition, the manufacturer's specifications indicate that sound can usually be heard by people under 25 years of age. The ability to hear high frequencies degrades in most humans with age (a condition called presbycusis), usually seen at the age of 18 years.

Remember: Set your volume up while playing the sound.
