I throughly enjoy and appreciate being able to learn about the ethics of the companies of which I buy their products. It is not only important that companies are ethical in reference to ingredients, and animal care, but also the environmental and employee aspects as well. Before using this app, I would not purchase products from companies who perpetrated employee discrimination in any form. So, kudos to you making a truly useful application!

A great concept that I'm glad exists. The app itself is fast and responsive, and gives a decent and quick overview of the products. It needs more codes added, as lots of things don't scan, or scan but don't come up entirely accurate. I would love to see this app become more widely used. Keep improving it and I believe it could catch on!

It's exhausting trying to balance cost and ethics and availability while shopping. This app does make it a little easier. It just seems like the database is very limited. After scanning the items from my last grocery trip I only found two that are rated by this app. I will definitely keep using it though in the hopes that the developers are continuously adding more and more.

Why is "non-GMO" presented as an "ethical" category? There is nothing inherently ethical about non-GMO products. Sustainable agriculture? Yes. Non-Monsanto? Sure. But non-GMO doesn't guarantee that a product is these things, and GMO doesn't mean there's anything unethical about a product. It's just a technology afterall (and one with the potential to do a LOT of good, I might add).

Looks interesting. Wondering what your data sources are - are you tied into the backend of GoodGuide for instance? Unfortunately, I cannot get the app to work. I scanned about 5-6 different products -- in each case I get a "ERROR - Server out of breath - try again in a few minutes" message. I can't rate what I can't use!

I haven't used it much yet. I like the idea. Wondering if it works on makeup brands too? It only says food, but i think it would be cool if the app showed what products you're using on your body.
