Pakistan is suffering miserably of the scarcity of good educational institutes. This is especially evident in the smaller districts like Haripur.

This was felt acutely before the enunciation of Dawn Public School at Khalabat. The administration of D.P.S reached the conclusion to establish such an institute that could address the needs and desires of the people of Khalabat in the best way possible.

The Principal himself is a highly experienced and seasoned educationist. After serving the nation for almost 40 years, it was the time to utilize the experience in the best interest of the nation.

The dream came true, and Dawn Public School started to function on the 15th of May 1998. It was a private Middle School at that time. It was upgraded to High level on the 21st of November 2001. In 2011 the school had another leap and was awarded Higher secondary school level.

Since its birth, Dawn Public School and College has crossed various landmarks. The results given below will highlight the achievements in the academic field.
