Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Scientific Sci-fi Spanner on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

Graphics are beautiful, love the options, but it would be nice if a few more options were free to try them out before buying. I like it though. I might break down and purchase the whole package. We'll have to wait and see for a bit.

Could be much better. I paid for the full version of this and I probably shouldn't have. The screwdrivers don't move, the climate setting doesn't work (or takes to long, did not have the patience to wait. )if you are not planning on fixing/improving this anytime soon than I want my money back.

Although it is 3D it sucks you have to buy things to make the game "Better" but still why is it free if you have to get other stuff on it! And why would you tease the people who doesn't have money right now I thought I would use the screwdriver clock but noooo. You had to screw it up and make people buy it...

Love the app, mostly because I'm a big doctorwho fan and I thought when I downloaded it, it was going to be a rip off or not work at all, but it's a very good app, it works on my pantech flex, a bit. It glitches out when I use it sometimes, PlZ fix so I can buy the other stuff

I got the demo version yesterday and have been playing around with it. I have to say I am impressed. I would be willing to pay for the complete package as long as you get a few things fixed. First of all, detail. The 9th and 10th doctor's sonic screwdriver has some detail and you can see a lot of effort has been put into it, but I think the cracked porcelain look doesn't show up, it is just a plain, creamy colour. Also the 3D rotation doesn't work, it disappears when it rotates and the sonic doesn't extend.

It's like regular hardware only it's...sonic. This fully-manipulatable 3D sonic screwdriver includes 9 functionality modules and customizations. Many functions give REAL sensor readings, others will appeal to devout sci-fi fans. Support phones and tablets in magnificent HD.

The "Ninth" device in "Basic" mode with the "Blue Steel" energy signature is free; other skins, effects, and features can be unlocked with IAB.

BASIC (free)
This mode lets you move and rotate the tool around in 3D space. Activate it with the sonic screwdriver's button and change energy styles in the menu. Double tap-drag to rotate and pinch to zoom and rotate. Most other features also allow for 3D manipulation and activation.

"ALLONSY!"
This ship looks smaller on the outside. Tilt phone/tablet to move, hold your finger on the screen to zoom forward. It's hard to control, but travelling through space and time often is. Hold your phone parallel to the ground to keep it still.

SHARK BAIT
Dangle your sonic screwdriver as shark bait. Tilt phone/tablet to see the device respond to real-world gravity. Activate its sonic button to summon the shark!

TIMEPIECE
A clock by any other name. How will you know when you are without a proper timepiece?

OPEN RIFT
Activate your sonic device to open and close a webcam rift.

SHATTER
The universe is like a piece of glass. If you break it in one spot, the whole thing starts to shatter. Use your sonic device to illustrate the metaphor in dramatic fashion.

COMPASS
"Lots of planets have a north," including this one. Let your sonic screwdriver be your guide to find it. Also displays your current heading in degrees.

PARA-EMF
Use these readings to detect variations in the magnetic waves around your phone - often signs of ghosts or other paranormal and inter-dimensional energy. Expressed in microteslas (uT).

CLIMATE
Find out your local weather while travelling so you know if you'll need an umbrella.

11 ENERGY SIGNATURES
Switch out the look of your device while activated.
