This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Sci-fi Traveler on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

A must have app for anyone planning a trip across the cosmos. Find out how much time dilation will affect your cosmic trip as well as the energy required to get there. You might be surprised that a trip to the Andromeda galaxy might only take you 28.6 years in the ship but millions of years will have passed in normal space.


Not only does the app tell you the time dilation that will result from traveling across the cosmos but it also compares the ship time and normal-space time with popular time-scales.

The app features include:

a) Calculate time-dilation given a specific velocity and either a ship travel distance or a given planet or ship time.

b) Calculate time dilation of an accelerating (and then de-accelerating) object given a target distance.

c) Calculate time dilation due to traveling to a specific cosmic object (several galactic and stellar objects are tabulated).

d) Calculate the time dilation due being near a black hole.

e) Calculate the energy requirements to travel a certain distance.

f) Results are in readable times as opposed to large numeric results.

g) Compare your times with more human intuitive timescales (for example 29.8 million years is about 0.46 times since the dinosaurs walked the earth).

h) Extremely large precision available for non-accelerating computations. For example, you can put 0.99... followed by another 50 nines for v/c (the velocity divided by the speed of light).
