DagM8 is a student controlled Active Social Network created by students, for students, of students. DagM8 is an easier way for individual students, you, to build your own custom personal social network and instantly stay in touch with your mates – Class, Team and Play. Now your smartphone or computer let’s you share text, photos, documents, location, soon even video, audio and more in milliseconds. DagM8 is years and years of work from a bunch of fellow UCSC students – to share a better way we used to make college easier for us, so other students can also learn more, have more fun, get more out of every minute in and out of the classroom. DagM8 came directly from UC experiences. After losing scholarships and having tuition jump up dramatically at the last moment when the 2008 Recession left the UC system out of money, a bunch of us pulled together – in study groups, parties, teams and discovered something magical – when we worked together – we all did better together, in and out of school. The more intensely we collaborated, the better each and every one of us did!. We learned more. We had more fun. Our grades got better with what seemed like less work as we got more done. Eureka! Collaboration, teamwork, pulling together is the answer; the better we did the more fun we had; the more fun we had the better we did. DagM8 was born.

Try DagM8 for yourself. Reach out to your schoolmates - class, team and play. See if the world doesn’t immediately open up as you discover learning is easier studying in groups you put together than sitting by yourself in the dorm reading, or being in an ocean of hundreds of others straining to hear the T.A. give out assignments in an auditorium. You might find your learning style isn’t best served by large lecture halls, but asking questions in a small group turns the light on as you interact and discuss subject with friends. If this works for us and our friends, then DagM8 will help you get that college experience you always hoped and dreamed possible.
